West Shore rowers excel at nationals

Group with Victoria Rowing Club among top finishers in various races

West Shore rowers performed admirably on the national stage last weekend at Elk Lake.

The Victoria Rowing Club members took medals home from the Rowing Canada Aviron National Rowing Championships, held Nov. 7 to 9.

Patrick Keane (age 17) took bronze in men’s single race while Liam Keane (15) got the bronze in the junior pairs event with partner Isaac Donaldson of Saanich.

Miles Krakowec-Tickner (17) took sixth place in junior pairs and Tristan Tucker (17) 14 place in the junior singles race.
