Nick Guiney went scoreless in the first 14 B.C. Hockey League playoff games of his career.

In his 15th post-season game last night he put an emphatic end to that cold stretch with a pair of goals, including the overtime winner just 33 seconds into the extra frame.

The goal gave Guiney's Victoria Grizzlies a crucial 5-4 road win to bring their series with the Powell River Kings back to Victoria tied at two games apiece.

Kings forward Kyle Betts opened the scoring in Game 4 just 2:19 into the opening frame but the Grizzlies roared back with three unanswered goals from Lucas Clark and Timothy Friedmann in the first and then Guiney early in the second.

Powell River, playing in front of 1061 fans at the Hap Parker Arena, answered with three straight goals of their own to put the Grizzlies in a precarious position down 4-3 in the third period and facing a potential 3-1 series deficit.

Friedmann got the Grizzlies back on even terms to set up Guiney's overtime heroics.

Grizzlies goaltender Matthew Galajda made 29 saves as Victoria outshot Powell River by a 41-33 margin.

Game 5 will take place at The Q Centre on Thursday night.

Game 6 is scheduled for Saturday in Powell River and Game 7, if necessary, will be back in Colwood on Monday.
