Junior Shamrocks split a pair of home games

Junior squads host home games this upcoming weekend

The Tier 1 Junior B Shamrocks and the Junior A Shamrocks split games at The Q Centre this past weekend.

The Tier 1 B squad beat the New Westminster Salmonbellies 14-8, and the Coquitlam Adanacs beat the Junior A team 11-2.

Scoring for the Tier 1 B team was balanced, with five players scoring two goals apiece, Patrick Dodds had sevens helpers with his two goals and Denton MacDonald had a six-point night with one goal and five assists.

The Jr. A Shamrocks kept the game close in the first period, with Coquitlam holding a 3-2 advantage over the ‘Rocks, but in the final two periods, the Adanacs scored an unanswered eight goals to take the game.

Next up for Junior ‘Rocks is back-to-back games at The Q Centre on Saturday, June 9. The Tier 1 squad faces off against the Port Coquitlam Saints at 1 p.m. and the Junior A Shamrocks take on the Langley Thunder at 4 p.m.
