The gymnastics world is buzzing with excitement as 11-year-old Allora Enge, hailing from Colwood, gears up to make her mark at the upcoming BC Winter Games in Quesnel in February 2024.

Representing Zone 6 (Vancouver Island) in women’s artistic gymnastics at the highly competitive level 7 under the Canadian Competitive Program, Enge’s journey is one defined not only by her impressive victories but also by thrilling new partnerships.

In a year filled with stellar achievements, including clinching gold at the Whistler Summer Classic, reigning supreme at the Garden City Invitational, securing bronze at the Orca Invitational, and claiming silver at the BC Provincial Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Enge is now venturing into uncharted territory. Teaming up with two fresh faces, one each from the Nanaimo Gymnastics School and Inspire Sports Victoria, she is set to epitomize the unity and diverse talent pool present on Vancouver Island.

However, Enge’s dedication doesn’t stop at the gym doors. In the lead up to the BC Winter Games, she continues her rigorous training, which extends well beyond the confines of the gymnasium. Back at home, she collaborates closely with her competitive team from the Lion’s Pride Gymnastics Academy in Langford.

Throughout her journey, Enge’s remains grateful for the unwavering guidance of her coach, Lisa Comazzetto, and the staunch support from her Lion’s Pride Competitive Team.

“I’ve been training Allora since she was five, so for six years. She’s been with me at Lions Pride and our goal now is to step away to a podium finish in this Winter Games,” Comazzetto said.

For Enge’s, gymnastics transcends the pursuit of medals; it’s a joyful and exhilarating journey.

“I’m really excited as this will be my first time away for a competition by myself and I hope to have a really fun time,” she said.
