Public perspective aside, I truly wonder about the furor over Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Canucks hockey jaunt.
As I understand the matter, Harper’s offer to pay regular fare far from covers the cost of the jet, but he’s not permitted to use commercial flights. Anyway, no matter the public cost for the venture, it’s insignificant compared to other funds wasted by those on Parliament Hill — G8, G20 and Muskoka cost $50 million?
