We also live in the Happy Valley area of Langford. Once every five or six weeks we take one bag of garbage into Alpine. If you purchase a card for 10 bags you get the 11th bag free. This gives us almost one year of garbage disposal for $40.00.
There is no way to have weekly pick-up for anywhere near this. We don’t make a special trip to Alpine, it’s done on a day that we have other errands to do, so it’s not an inconvenience.
We also compost, so no kitchen waste pick-up is needed.
