Man was thrown from his vehicle near Millstream Road McDonald’s Monday night

West Shore RCMP is investigating after the report of a carjacking in the parking lot near McDonald’s on Millstream Road in Langford.

On Monday at 9 p.m., West Shore RCMP said they received a 911 call of a robbery and vehicle theft.

Police responded to the scene and found a 52-year-old man who told them he was carjacked while sitting idle in the parking lot.

Police said the robbery occurred when the suspect opened the man’s car door, grabbed him by the shoulders and threw him out of the vehicle and onto the ground. The suspect drove away, nearly running over the man, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries to his wrist, elbow and hip and was transported to hospital.
