View Royal council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve signing a trucking agreement for the use of Hallowell Road with the Esquimalt First Nation.
Town staff told council that signing the deal would give the Town more say on issues affecting nearby residents, such as the operating hours of Esquimalt Nation tenants on Hallowell, the types of trucks allowed and the measurement of particulate matter in the area.
The dead-end street is the border between the two jurisdictions.
