Sooke School District asks parents to pick up children early

Afternoon instruction on West Shore and in Sooke likely won't continue as scheduled

With weather conditions deteriorating on the West Shore late Wednesday morning, the Sooke School District has emailed parents encouraging them to pick up their children early today if possible.

While all schools in the district will remain open with staff until regular dismissal times, afternoon instruction is not expected to continue as scheduled, as students leave for the day.

School bus service is expected to start at the regular time, but the district is expecting some weather-related delays.

Parents and guardians will be informed of any further changes through the district’s website and via email.
