Pedestrian struck at West Shore mall

A suspected impaired driver drove into a pedestrian at Westshore Town Centre on Wednesday at 8:11 p.m.

A suspected impaired driver drove into a pedestrian at Westshore Town Centre on Wednesday at 8:11 p.m.

West Shore RCMP say a woman was struck while in a crosswalk on Phipps Road within the shopping centre. She suffered knee and leg injuries and was treated at Victoria General Hospital.

Police say a 47-year-old male driver from Langford was under the influence of alcohol and is facing criminal charges. Anyone who witnessed the incident can call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
