Advance polls for federal election open Friday

Voters unable to cast their ballots on May 2 can do so in advance from noon until 8 p.m. this Friday, Saturday and Monday (April 22, 23 and 25).

Voters must show one original piece of identification with a photo, name and address, issued by a government agency (i.e. a driver’s licence), or two pieces – one displaying a name and another with a name and address (a Care Card and a hydro bill, for example).

Voters who register before April 26 may also vote via special ballot (through the mail or in person at a local Elections Canada office). For locations or other information, visit www.elections.ca or call 1-800-463-6868.
