Westshore Town Centre hosts a family-friendly rockin’ kick-off to the holidays Nov. 26.

Get into the swing of the season while supporting local families with Westshore Town Centre’s rockin’ kick-off to the holidays Nov. 26!

The family-friendly fun runs from from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Cineplex parking lot, with live music by local bands Soul 62 (featuring students from Royal Bay Secondary), Posh Coat and Freshly Squeezed. Warm up at a hot chocolate station with all the fixings provided by The Cabinet Mobile Bar and a crackling fire to keep you and your little ones toasty warm.

More than the perfect way to help get everyone into the holiday spirit, the centre’s Jingle Bell Rock also helps local families in need through its support for CFAX Santas Anonymous. Simply bring a new, unwrapped, unopened toy or a gift card and get a “backstage pass” to an exclusive meet-and-greet with the true holiday rockstar, Santa Claus!

“Families can bring their donations to the CFAX tent first, receive their backstage pass, visit Santa and get an autographed photo before continuing onto the hot chocolate station and cosying up at the fire to enjoy local, live music,” says Kelly McClure, Marketing Manager from Westshore Town Centre. “Everyone can look forward to a truly unique Rock and Roll holiday-themed event that’s sure to delight mum, dad and kids alike!”

Co-hosted with Virgin Radio Victoria, the event aims to help promote and support CFAX Santas Anonymous – as one of the longest-running children’s charities in Greater Victoria, the organization has been helping local families in need enjoy a happy, healthy holiday season for 45 years. Started in the basement of local philanthropist Marilyn Cann, CFAX Santas Anonymous now helps thousands of local families right here in Greater Victoria every holiday season.

Westshore Town Centre’s annual Santa pictures will also be available starting Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. You can book your time for Santa pictures online, with two options for “Santa” available at the time of booking. Spaces tend to fill up quickly and reservations are strongly recommended.

Supporting local families in need and helping ensure every child’s Christmas is merry and bright is the perfect way to embrace the true meaning of the holidays. So bundle up the family and get into the holiday spirit of generosity and kindness at Westshore Town Centre’s Jingle Bell Rock.
