West Shore RCMP are looking for suspects who vandalized nine vehicles near the 100-block of Grob Court in Langford on Oct. 9.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., West Shore RCMP responded to a call and arrived on the scene determining the vehicles sustained various levels of damage.

At the scene, police set up containment, spoke to several witnesses and searched the area extensively, but the suspects were not located.

One of the witnesses described hearing loud banging and stepped outside their home to see what was taking place, according to a police news release. The witness observed two to four males get into two different vehicles and proceed to drive away. One of the suspects sprayed a witness with bear spray as they were driving past.

One of the male suspects was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and hat. The suspects drove away in one dark-coloured vehicle and in a separate light-coloured vehicle.

“We continue our investigation and are asking the residents in the area to check their home surveillance cameras for the time period of Oct. 9, between 2 a.m. to 4 a.m.,” said Cpl. Nancy Saggar. “If you think you captured the suspects on camera please call the police at 250-474-2264 to report your information.”

The West Shore RCMP also wants to remind the public to call the police right away if you see suspicious activity and to not attempt to approach the suspects as they could be dangerous.
