UPDATE: Major crimes now investigating Victoria death on Pandora

Police suspect foul play after incident in the 1000-block of Pandora

Police suspect foul play in a Victoria death early Thursday morning.

B.C. Emergency Health Services called VicPD to the 1000-block of Pandora Avenue on Sept. 14 at around 3:45 a.m. for a man in medical distress.

The man died in hospital.

With foul play suspected, the Vancouver Island Major Crimes Unit is investigating, but police believe there is low risk to the public, according to a VicPD news release.

With police tape crisscrossing the grassy median, the secondary road on Pandora between Vancouver and Cook streets remains closed. The main westbound Pandora Avenue lanes are open.

VicPD told Victoria News it is not releasing any further information at this time.
