West Shore RCMP says a driver is likely to be ticketed after a cyclist was hit early Wednesday morning on Sooke Road near Aldeane Avenue.
RCMP were called on Feb. 14 around 6:30 a.m. by a driver who said they’d hit a cyclist.
“The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with police,” Const. Nancy Saggar told Black Press Media.
While the investigation is ongoing, the cyclist was struck in the intersection by a driver in a pick up truck and was taken to hospital with injuries.
While those injuries are being assessed, the ydid not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
