A Valentine’s Day musical treat is coming up at the Highland Music Coffee House treat
Knacker’s Yard plays the monthly session Feb. 14 at Caleb Pike House, 1589 Millstream Rd. starting at 7:30 p.m.
Traditional music enthusiasts will appreciate the songs, which feature tales of lost love and betrayal, the misdeeds of ramblers and rakes, emigration, sea shanties and worker’s songs.
In addition to these ballads and chorus-driven songs, Knacker’s Yard adds the explosive musical energy of traditional instrumental, reels and jigs.
Admission is $5 for the show, which kicks off with an open mic session.
