The Metchosin Minute

Check out the Metchosin Minute for upcoming events

Wednesday (March 2), the magic of seeds will be explored at the Metchosin Community House, 4430 Happy Valley Rd.

Mary Alice Johnson of Full Circle Seeds and ALM Organic Farm in Sooke will share some of her wisdom on securing, using and collecting seeds. Just like seeds themselves, she’s a force of nature.

This event is sponsored by the Metchosin Garden Club and and starts at 7:30 p.m. A donation of $2 to help cover expenses is suggested at the door.

On Friday (March 4), the municipal chambers, 4450 Happy Valley Rd., will be open to anyone wishing to hear a presentation on co-existing with carnivores, including bears, wolves and cougars.

There may even be a walk after the talk for the adventurous.
