Poetry picnic planned for Beacon Hill Park

Victoria's poet laureate leads group of writers in community event

Join Victoria poet laureate Janet Rogers and other poets June 16 as they share their work at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park.

Bring your own picnic and blanket for a free, family-friendly afternoon featuring music, an open mic for poetry readings, writing games and a poetry treasure hunt and prizes. All ages are welcome. Registration is not required.

The event runs from noon to 2 p.m.
