Musician Valdy plays Metchosin show tonight

Concert, weekend workshops at Pearson College raise money for Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts

Canadian folk music hero Valdy will be performing with Karel Roessingh tonight (July 6) at the Max Bell Theatre at Pearson College in Metchosin.

The show is a benefit concert to raise money for the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts.

Valdy and Roessingh will also host workshops over the course of the weekend. In the course titled Performance Skills, Valdy will tackle playing live, while in Composition Demystified, Roessingh will discuss the basics of writing music.

Tickets for the Friday concert are $25 or $15 for seniors. There will be no tickets at the door. Call 250-391-2415 or email missaoffice@pearsoncollege.ca for info and tickets.
