Local residents flocked to Langford Fire Rescue’s hall on Peatt Road this past weekend for their annual open house.
Taking place last Sunday (Oct. 14), community members could take a ride in a fire truck, check out equipment displays, or try their hands on a climbing wall, fire hose spraying, fire extinguisher demonstrations and a Tom Thumb Safety Village for the kids.
There was also volunteers from Emergency Support Services and car seat technicians on hand with helpful information for parents as well. A pancake breakfast and hot dog lunch were also provided for free by the Langford Fire Department’s Women’s Auxiliary.
