A pleasant day of golf, food and music rounded out the first Buddy DeVito 9 Holes, Dinner & Dance in aid of the WestShore Adult Day Program.
Administered by the Greater Victoria Eldercare Foundation, the daycare is attended by DeVito’s wife, Gisele.
She was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease two years ago.
The couple wanted to do something to raise awareness and a little cash for the program. Not only did the July 11 event bring out some new people to the program, roughly $3,000 was raised toward the purchase of specialized equipment for the day program and other initiatives.
