Fort Rodd Hill tents available for bookings

Parks Canada opens online reservation system early

For those people who like to combine a love of the outdoors and for local history, Fort Rodd Hill is now accepting reservations for its oTENTik lodging for the 2016 season.

The five cabin-like units are perfect for those staycation getaways, where visitors want to remain close to home, but get away nontheless.

It’s the earliest that Parks Canada has opened its online reservation system for the Colwood historic site and other West Coast campsites, which include Fort Langley and Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.

Online bookings opened yesterday for the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, home to the West Coast Trail. The full-service Green Point campground near Long Beach, and now the Nitinat entrance to the West Coast Trail and hiking permits from that location, are also now available to book online.
