The Royal Canadian Legion’s Prince Edward Branch 91 is hosting a Father’s Day event Sunday (June 21) to help kick off Legion Week.
The day’s activities include the annual community barbecue at the Langford Legion, 761 Station Ave.
The BBQ runs from noon to 2 p.m. and will see Legion members serving up free hamburgers, hot dogs, and cake. It will also feature a bouncy castle and balloons for the kids. Members of the Legion will spend the rest of the week visiting West Shore RCMP, ambulance first responders, fire halls, and city halls with coffee and doughnuts to celebrate the week through June 27.
