Black Press Media’s Greater Victoria editorial team has been honoured with four 2023 Canadian Community Newspaper Awards.

The competition, for work from the 2022 calendar year, saw almost 800 entries in 27 categories ranging from photography to overall excellence.

Taking the top spot for Best Multimedia Breaking News Coverage, was the Saanich News’ work on the June 2022 Saanich bank shooting.
