Toastmasters president offers presentation tips during free Wednesday seminar

Royal Roads club hosting special public event with dynamic speaker

Looking for a way to improve your presentations and make a bigger impact?

The Royal Roads Toastmasters are hosting a free mini-workshop Wednesday night (Jan. 11) at the university, where special guest speaker Peter Scott will offer tips on how to make best use of such programs as Powerpoint, Keynote, Prezie and others.

Scott is a Metchosin resident, author and president of the Chosin Chatters Toastmasters club whose career credits include doing information technology work for NASA. He'll overturn some common assumptions about how to use visual aids and show how anyone can quickly master the skills necessary to create superior presentations.

The event gets underway at 7 p.m. in room 312 of the Grant Building, just above the Quarterdeck Lounge.
