The West Shore’s most prominent business awards were back with an in-person celebration this year. Taking place at Olympic View Golf Club on Oct. 28, the celebration saw the community come together to honour local businesses and their contributions to the community.
The results of the annual Best of the WestShore Awards are always a highlight of the year. It’s a chance to rediscover old favourites and become new regulars at others.
The winners are chosen by you and there was no shortage of votes this year. More than 900 organizations were nominated – more than we’ve ever seen in the past – with almost 33,000 votes cast.

With more than 40 categories, there was no shortage of great local businesses to which residents could give kudos. Included in the mix were everything from best pub, restaurant, grocery store and second-hand shop to favourite sports team or best place to take your furry family members for a walk.
The awards are brought to the community through a partnership between the Goldstream Gazette and the WestShore Chamber of Commerce. You can find the results inside a special publication available at the Goldstream Gazette’s office or online at goldstreamgazette.com under e-editions.
