With summer around the corner, now’s the time to start planning how best to keep your kids’ minds and bodies busy.
Local parents Sonia and Jesse Bowness, from Code Ninjas Westshore, have the perfect solution – sure to keep both parents and their kids happy.

Since first opening their doors in 2021, Code Ninjas Westshore has hosted more than 40,000 coding sessions and received rave reviews from hundreds of Westshore families.
Kids ages 5 to 14 enjoy age-appropriate programs designed to keep them engaged and having fun, all while learning important life skills in computer coding, problem-solving and related areas that leave them better equipped for the rapidly evolving job markets.

Summer camp programs begin in early July and run till the end of August. Each camp is available either as a morning program running from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or as an afternoon program running from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Parents can book two half-day camps to enjoy a full-day camp program. Full-day campers are supervised and provided with outdoor playtime from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. Find a full list of available summer camps and more information online here.
Year-round programs
- Code Ninjas CREATE: Code Ninjas’ best-selling program is for kids ages 8 to 14 and offers them the freedom to explore coding through an individualized education plan designed with their interests in mind.
- Code Ninjas JR: A foundational coding and problem-solving program for ages 5 to 7.
- Code Ninjas Clubs: In 90 minute weekly sessions, kids 8-14 years old explore cool tech topics via Roblox and Minecraft, collaborate with peers, while having lots of fun. Clubs are limited to eight members - it’s an exclusive chance for your child to develop teamwork and problem-solving skills while having a blast. Clubs meet once a week from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
- Parent’s night out: A win-win for the whole family! Enjoy an evening out knowing your kids are having fun as well. Available one Friday a month from 6 to 9 p.m. for ages 6+.
