Mobilization for war took place in various ways in Greater Victoria

Victoria Mobilize! held Saturday and Sunday at Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site, saw members of the Victoria Esquimalt Military Re-enactors Association join forces with Parks Canada staff to give visitors a glimpse into the local response to the outbreak of the First World War in 1914.

Visitors to the park experienced demonstrations, period music, games, a costume dress-up area and lectures about life in that era.
