Tour de Rock riders conquered the Malahat and rolled into Langford at noon on Wednesday to the roaring cheer of a hundred kids at Willway elementary.
Willway kids presented the tour with about $1,300, raised from coins collected in a water jug.
The tour heads out to Sooke for the afternoon, and arrives back in Langford around 3:45 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park for a community celebration until 6 p.m.
The public is welcome to come out and meet the riders and to witness (or participate in) a few fundraising head shaves.
