Westshore Rugby’s U-16 side fall to Capilano in playoff semifinal

B.C. Rugby playoffs continue next weekend with Plate final in Duncan

The visiting Capilano RFC side used a big second half to get past Westshore RFC 24-7 in B.C. Rugby under-16 men’s semifinal playoff action at Westshore Parks and Recreation in Colwood on Sunday.

The teams were tied 7-7 after the first half, with Aaron Apolinaro scoring the try and adding a two-point kicked convert for the locals.

The Westshore squad, which finished 5-2 in league play, winds up their fall season against the Castaway Wanderers in the Plate final for third place next Sunday at Herd Road Field in Duncan. Kickoff time is 12:30 p.m.
