Short-lived start for XFinity racer Reaume

Driver with Highlands roots sits 35th in driver's standings on junior NASCAR series

Former Highlands resident Josh Reaume had a tough day at the NASCAR XFinity Series’ Kentucky 300 on Friday, finishing 37th after suspension problems forced him out after just 10 laps.

Reaume, who began the season as the No. 1 driver for the Obaika Racing team but was dropped earlier this year, sits tied for 35th overall in the driver’s standings, having raced for independent teams the past few races. His best finish so far is 29th place in the Great Clips 250 at Michigan International Speedway.
