Lambrick Park baseball academy grad Angela Jay is getting it done on and off the field.

Last week Jay was selected to the NCAA’s All-America Div. 2 second team, ranking her with the best fastpitch catchers in the country.

The fourth-year also plays center field, and earned a 3.89 grade point average in physical education and health. With her grades, she earned a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference all-academic first team nomination, along with being on the Rocky Mountain’s first team all-conference team.

Jay started her post-season career with Iowa Western junior college before transferring to Chadron State in Nebraska.

She started 96 consecutive games for Chadron and finished her career with the highest fielding percentage in school history. This year she hit .342 and led the team with an on-base percentage of .403.
