Junior cricket getting underway in Metchosin

Second year for program promises to be bigger than first

The Metchosin Junior Cricket League opens its second season June 10 on the grounds behind the municipal hall on Happy Valley Road.

New players are encouraged to come and give the sport a try in this developmental cricket league, which operates under the umbrella of the Metchosin Cricket Club. Girls and boys aged 6 and up are coached by seasoned local players, and no experience or equipment is necessary.

Practices run Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m., with games on Sundays from 9 to 11 a.m. For more information, email met.jr.cricket@gmail.com or call Rick at 250-588-2490.
