The Juan de Fuca Whalers won the Vancouver Island Midget A lacrosse playoff title with an 8-6 win over the regular-season champion Saanich Tigers last week at The Q Centre.
Caleb Kueber and Brayden Brown scored twice each to lead the Whalers’ attack, while other goals came from Riley Condon, Josh Wilson and Kason Grewal.
Both teams are in Prince George this week for the provincial championships.
