Juan de Fuca 3B men look to extend VISL soccer streak

West Shore side takes on Sagres at Topaz Park on Sunday

Juan de Fuca’s Division 3B men ride a four-game unbeaten streak into Sunday’s (Nov. 9) Vancouver Island Soccer League match against Sagres at Topaz Park.

The West Shore side, 3-2-2 and currently sitting in fourth place, beat Prospect Lake 3-2 last Sunday to pull within a point of the second-place Lakers.

Chris Wardle, Aaron Burnell and Schoor Dane scored in the win. Andrew Fitzpatrick and Darryl Stubbs replied for Prospect Lake.

Juan de Fuca enters this weekend’s game having posted draws against Lakehill Danger Police (4-4) and Penelakut United (1-1) and beat Alberni Athletics 3-2 back on Oct. 11.

Juan de Fuca’s last loss was an 8-0 drubbing by current league leaders Powell River. The Villa remain undefeated, sitting at 6-0-1.
