Colwood fitness expert secures top-10 finish at kettlebell worlds

Corissa Sivarot brings eight-place finish from Dublin

Canadian national kettlebell team member Corissa Sivarot, photographed at her home gym in Colwood, recorded an eighth-place finish in the 16-kilogram snatch event at the world championships last week in Dublin, Ireland. Competing in the 68-kilogram weight class with fellow amateur lifters, she hoisted the bell 186 times. Fellow Canadian Misty Shearer of Edmonton won gold with 225 reps. A total of 561 athletes from 37 countries competed.
