Chiliwack Minor Football standouts selected for Starbowl

The annual showcase event for peewee and junior bantam standouts will feature 44 Chilliwackians.

Chilliwack Minor Football will have 44 players on the field in Mission this weekend for Starbowl 2017.

The annual showcase gathers peewee and junior bantam all-stars from the Valley Community Football League.

The VCFL includes Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Meadow Ridge and North Langley.

Mission hosts this year’s event, with the peewee game kicking off at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mission Sports Park.

Chilliwack players suiting up for either the Valley Chargers or Valley Titans include; Carter Dallas, Deaglan Perry, Logan Tocher, Kaden Andersen, Brayden Fraser, Tyler Bergin, Jack Bowman, Vincent Branauer, Evan Butler, Pierson Capstick, Lucas Feaver, Talon Fischer, Wyatt Stobbs, Braden Macdonald, Kenyan Reid, Mitchell Price, Matthaus Chapman, Yapo Conteh, Christian Beck, Tyson Orregaard and Clive Kingma.

The JB game follows at noon, pitting the Valley Raiders against the Valley Jayhawks.

Twenty three Chilliwackians are involved in that game; Logan Buchwitz, Michael Hopwood, Kaleb Spaner, Grayson Frick, Jaxson Wilkins, Blake Goward, Davies Mitchell, Arden Loewen, Kai Manning, Gavin Thomas, Shirley Gonzalez, Aidan Saunders, Tyler Kelly, Hunter German, Josh Caverly, Josh Baird, Paris Mastin, D.J. Stephens, Dhillon Myers, Logan Head, Hayden Dahlby, Austin Wegener and Jace Nessel.

Chilliwack will host the bantam and midget Starbowl games the following Saturday at Exhibition Stadium as VCFL stars clash with the best of the best from the Vancouver Mainland Football League.
