Social media to blame for teen’s death

Websites make money but operators don;t care about bullying victims

Re: Death of mainland teen Amanda Todd

How sad, another teen loses her life because of bullies. We have all done stupid things in our lives, but we did not have instant replay around the world. I like this quote: “If people try to bring you down, it only means you are above them.”

Tragic that this young lady did not realize that. When will the powers that be realize that social media websites are addictive? Just as marijuana use can lead to depression, addiction and loss of life in some people, so can these immoral websites.

Some people make a lot of money hosting these websites but do not seem to care about the victims. These kind of sites need to be shut down immediately and changes need to be made.
