With so much talk about the 5,000 trees coming down in Saanich, I’m not sure many people know the amount of trees that were logged this summer in Colwood on Haida Drive.
You cannot see it from Sooke Road or Veterans Memorial Parkway. But if you come up Fulton Road to Haida Drive and look to your left you will see another “Colwood Hole” that has been left.
When I asked at City Hall what the plans were for this property, they could not tell me.
I have lived here 40 years and have always loved the forest across the street. It sure saddened me to see these trees coming down.
How “green” is that?
