I believe there is considerable support in your paper for opposing Proportional Representation.

I believe there is considerable support in your paper for opposing Proportional Representation.

Let us hope that, in your paper, it is better informed than much of the opposition. For example some opponents of Proportional Representation claim that some residents of B.C. will never again have an MLA. This is false and misleading. Every resident of B.C. will have a local MLA under each of the three schemes on the ballot.

It has been threatened that we will have an unstable government under Proportional Representation. In fact Canada, with First Past the Post elections, has had more elections and new governments since 1945 than any Proportional Representation country in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

There is a fear we will elect extremists under Proportional Representation, like Pakistan I suppose, where they use a First Past the Post system, or like the U.S.A., ditto.

I would like to refer readers to ProRepFactcheck to find the truth for themselves.
