Leaders short-sighted on energy resources

Solar and wind power projects would require as many jobs, reader argues

Our leaders are dinosaurs. What happened to leaders who thought about our future and planned for it?

Other countries are putting in solar and wind power, while Christy Clark is gouging up the country putting in a new dam. Why not? It worked 50 years ago. Jobs are not the issue, as there are the same amount with wind and solar power operations.

Oh, and talk about a job killer, our premier is now supporting the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Even Donald Trump gave that the thumbs down.

We need to get on with new technologies now before the world passes us by; there’s money in green technology. Also, rumour is the premier is also going to sell power from the new dam to Alberta in exchange for whatever – a pipeline – as well as using the power to help out with fracking in northern B.C.

Meanwhile we have our own local dinosaur Langford mayor, who uses precious well water to water his boulevards to avoid local water restrictions.
