Despite my overall view of the affiliation with the Queen and Britain, I’ve respected her relationship with Canada.
I have a British-born wife and even had a British passport at one time.
That said, I shudder to consider Charles assuming that role. William would be better but I believe that with the Queen’s passing in future years, it’s time to find a new, less attached, means to retain our position within the Commonwealth.
