Ferry, development is what Colwood needs

A breakwater, a ferry from Colwood to Victoria, a 150-slip marina and a high end seaside village is exactly what’s needed to cap off the Royal Bay development.

Royal Bay enjoys one of the best ocean views on Vancouver Island, and this new vision for the former gravel pit needs public support.

Kudos to Colwood Mayor Dave Saunders for approaching Bob Evans (local developer) to start thinking about this exciting project which can put Colwood on the map.

Let’s face it, Colwood is tired of being broke and thought of as the ugly stepchild in the Capital Regional District.

Let’s hope current politicians and business people can make their new vision of Royal Bay a reality.
