Feds’ spending priorities raise reader’s eyebrows

Canada's national debt growth is alarming, reader writes

Canada’s federal debt is growing at a rate of $8 million a day, with the total having recently reached $614 billion.

National debt is money spent that we did not have to begin with. If we have so much non-existent money to give away, why don’t we contribute more to those in need in Canada, so children won’t have to collect cans to help them because there’s no money in the system.

At the same time, I do not believe we should be paying the legal fees for criminal defence of bad politicians, bad police officers, etc. Oh no, I forgot, we have a huge budget for that. This federal budget is as bad as our previous one and there is nothing for the less fortunate, as usual.
