Compassionate taxi drivers receive heartfelt kudos

A Langford reader is grateful for the compassion she received from Westshore Taxi during her husband's illness.

My husband, Bill Stevenson, was admitted on two different occasions to Victoria General Hospital and passed away on Nov. 19, 2016.

I am not a driver and used Westshore cabs on occasion to visit Bill at VGH, which helped as we had sold our car. They also did grocery pickup with me and helped me take it in to the house.

I’m writing this letter to thank the drivers and dispatcher of Westshore Taxi Ltd. This company has compassionate and caring cab drivers. The always asked how Bill was doing; their courteous and personal care shone.

In our busy world of today, it does console one to realize that kindness and care for another exists.
