Community cold on Royal Bay development

Re:Waters tested for Colwood ferry, News, April 29, 2011.

Recent articles stated Colwood council held in-camera discussions on the future of the Royal Bay development.

The entire Royal Bay development was the subject of probably the largest and most divisive public hearings ever held in Colwood, with the vast majority of the comments being negative.

It now appears that the current council is reopening the entire plan without public input.

It is hard to imagine that the public interest is served by hearing such proposals in-camera when it has already been demonstrated that they will be controversial.

I hope the residents of Colwood are closely watching this story and will hold the mayor and council accountable.
