WEBB, JOHN ROBERT

IT is with sad regret we announce the passing of John Robert Webb on March 17th, 2007. Born in Victoria in 1946 he lived a full and varied life. A true renaissance man. He was loved and respected by his family, his friends, his community and the people he worked with. From the heydays of Vancouver's music scene in the 1960's to his wood working business in Toronto to his dedication and drive to bring connectivity to BC's rural and First Nations communities and as an outspoken councilor for the District of Metchosin he was a man committed to improving the lives of those around him.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Moralea Milne, his children Gala, Rian, Madeline Milne (Joel Hansen), Kirsten Paterson Downes (Justin Downes) and Cameron Paterson, his cherished grandchildren Maxwell Hansen-Milne and Hayley Downes. He remained a dedicated son and brother, leaving behind his four sisters: Suzanne Newman, Peggy Whittall, Janet Webb (Ted Howell) and Sheila Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents Bob and Kaye Webb of North Vancouver in 2004. He was a much loved son-in-law to Florence and Jan Janbroers and brother-in law to April Cornell, Brenda Bowle-Evans and Rod Milne.

A memorial service will be held at the Metchosin Community Hall (4401 William Head Road) on Friday, March 23rd from 12-5pm. For a more comprehensive look at John's life please visit:
