A wind warning is also in effect for Greater Victoria. Southeasterly winds of 60 to 80 kilometres per hour are expected to hit most inner coastal areas, but are expected to ease this afternoon. Winds near Juan de Fuca are described as strong westerly winds potentially reaching 70 kilometres until Wednesday morning.

“Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds,” Environment Canada’s wind warning states.
