The Capital Regional District is constructing the Veterans Memorial Parkway pump station to meet the growing demand for potable water brought on by developments such as Royal Bay and Olympic View. The new station, being built between Allandale and Cairndale roads, will also replace the aging Fulton and Cairndale pump stations.

The cost of the project, which began at the end of June, is about $1.5 million, according to the CRD’s website. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2016.
