Water advisory issued for Langford Lake

VIHA warns public to avoid water contact due to high levels of bacteria

Another West Shore water advisory has been issued (July 22) by the Vancouver Island Health Authority, this time warning the public to stay out of the waters of Langford Lake until further notice.

The advisory warns that swimming and other water contact is unsafe at this time due to high levels of bacteria which could pose health risks.

The previous advisory issued for the Glen Lake Beach Park was rescinded on July 23 and the beach has re-opened.
